FAULTLINE FROLIC

The 12th annual FAULTLINE FROLIC contra dance weekend begins Friday, June 16, 2017 with check-in at 7:30 p.m. and dancing starting at 8:00 p.m. The dance weekend ends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18. A tentative schedule for the weekend will be available at the NBCDS Faultline Frolic website after registration opens.

LOCATION: FAULTLINE FROLIC is held at Monroe Hall, 1400 West College Avenue, in Santa Rosa, fifty miles north of the Golden Gate and just minutes off Highway 101. Monroe Hall, with its beautiful maple floor, is said to be the finest dance floor in Northern California. Check out their website at http://monroe-hall.com.

ACCOMMODATIONS and CARPOOLS: A list of area hotels and motels will be available on the FAULTLINE FROLIC website. We provide an event Facebook page for dancers wishing to arrange shared housing and/or carpools. We make every effort to find housing for out-of-town dancers if desired. We appreciate locals offering hospitality to traveling dancers.

FOOD: We provide local and organic food throughout the weekend. Included are Saturday dinner featuring Michael Martin’s homegrown salad greens and local family-made tamales, Sunday breakfast of organic freshly-ground multigrain pancakes, fresh fruit and sausage, and plentiful healthy (and some decadent) snacks. A list of local restaurants will also be available.

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATIONS: Registration begins March 1, 2017. Registration fee is $140.00 ($135.00 if you mail in); FT student or under age 30 is sliding-scale $75.00 – $140.00.  Registration is not transferable. All cancellations are subject to a $15 processing fee. After June 7, 2016 the full fee will be retained unless we can fill your place from any waiting list. Refunds will be processed asap, but may not be paid until two weeks after the event. AFTERSHOCK, the public Sunday evening contra dance with Lindsey Dono and Riptide, will be held at Strawberry Recreation Center in Mill Valley (separate admission) and is also open to non-FAULTLINE FROLIC dancers.
