DESCRIPTION:\nContra Dance in San Rafael on Saturday\, December 14th 7pm – 10pm \nJoin us for the 2nd Saturday contra in San Rafael. Lively music from Green Gates (Jon Berger\, Roxanne Olive\, & Todd Silverstein) with Kalia Kliban calling larks & robins. Sound by Marty Brenneis. \nWe’ll be at the usual location: UUCM (Unitarian Universalist Congregration of Marin) at 240 Channing Way in San Rafael. At the top of a steep hill; plenty of parking. UUCM is doing some major renovations in other parts of the building\, so keep an eye out for construction and our alternate entrance to the hall. \nAdmission: $13 NBCDS/BACDS/CDSS members; $15 not-yet-members; $8 pay as you can/limited income. First time dancers get in free — bring your friends & family at 6:30pm for a newcomers’ orientation. \nMasks are optional at our contra dance series. If you are not feeling well on the day of the dance\, please take care of yourself & the community — stay home and join us another time. Thanks for your support in keeping the transmission of illnesses to a minimum\, especially during this winter holiday season. \n* NBCDS dances are fragrance-free events.\n* You are invited to bring snacks to share at the break.\n* Bring a water bottle & stay hydrated! \n
