In the past decade and more, we have danced all over the place. NBCDS dances have moved around, always looking for the perfect dance halls. Our dances have grown to include more styles of dancing, more locations, both local and imported bands and callers, and many special events, workshops and dance weekends.

Beginners' Orientation

All regularly scheduled Contra and English Countyr dances feature a beginners' orientation about one half-hour before the official beginning of the dance.

Admission rates

• Admission to all NBCDS-sponsored Contra dances is $8 for NBCDS members and for members of CDSS affiliates (e.g., BACDS), $10 for non-members, $2 for children, and $5 for college students with id.
  English dances are $7 for NBCDS members and $9 for non-members, $3 for children.

• Admission for special Contra dances is often higher as these have national talent, or are weekend events or holiday events.
